Resources Used For My Lessons

1. I often use Canva for my lessons, whether it is an ELA lesson, a math lesson or a lesson for another subject. I love Canva because it gives me a sense of creativity and a chance to show my personality through the Canva designs. For example, my math lesson was around Halloween and I showed my excitement for Halloween by making my Canva presentation Halloween themed. Canva presentations also help my students who are visual learners.

2. In my ELA lesson, I aligned my lesson with a curriculum called CKLA. This is a program aligned with the science of reading, where students work on listening comprehension, vocabulary, writing, decoding and phonological awareness.

4. This was not one of my observations, but I did a jeopardy game with my 4th graders using jeopardy labs on New York State Geography as well. My 4th graders love jeopardy and it is a good game to use for review and group work.

5. For my 4th grade mapping lesson, each student got a copy of this map and labeled the names of New York State's Major Physical Features. Students also added a map key that represents each type of physical feature, such as mountains, rives, and lakes. I got this map from https://d-maps.com/carte.php?num_car=7480&lang=en
